Viewing Media Metadata and Timestamps

A guide to viewing media metadata and timestamps in Phygii.

What Metadata Is Available

Every media item in Phygii — 360° images, HD photos, project photos — carries metadata that tells you when and where it was captured, who took it, and how it has been categorized. This information is especially useful for verifying capture quality, comparing conditions over time, and auditing field work.

How to View Metadata

  1. Open any media item by clicking it on the map or in a media gallery.
  2. Click the Info tab in the media viewer panel.
  3. You will see a table of metadata fields for that item.

Available Metadata Fields

The Info tab typically shows:

  • Date Captured — The exact date and time the image was taken.
  • Project — Which project this image belongs to.
  • Published — Whether the image has been published and made visible.
  • Photo Type — The category of photo (e.g., 360°, HD, project photo).
  • Level — Which floor or level of the building the image is from.
  • Area — Which area of the property the image covers.
  • Category — The photo category assigned during capture.
  • Description — Any notes or description attached to the image.
  • Latitude / Longitude — The GPS coordinates where the image was captured.
  • Author — The user who captured the image.
  • Custom Fields — Any additional metadata fields your organization has configured.

Comparing Timestamps Across Images

The Date Captured field is particularly useful when you need to verify that all images from a project were taken during the expected time window, or when comparing the condition of a property across multiple visits over time.
