Tagging Media Items

A guide to tagging and filtering media items in Phygii.

What Are Tags?

Tags are labels you can apply to media items — photos, 360° images, Points of Interest, and Areas of Interest — to categorize and organize them. Tags make it easy to filter and find specific content across a location with many media items.

Adding Tags to a Media Item

  1. Open the media item in the viewer.
  2. Click the Info tab to see the metadata panel.
  3. Find the Tags field. It shows as an autocomplete dropdown.
  4. Click the field and select one or more tags from the list of options configured for your organization.
  5. Tags are saved automatically — there is no separate save button.

Removing Tags

To remove a tag, click the X on the tag chip in the Tags field. The change saves automatically.

Tagging Points and Areas of Interest

Tags also work on Points of Interest and Areas of Interest. When viewing a POI or AOI on the map, the tag autocomplete appears in its detail panel. Select or deselect tags the same way — changes save automatically.

Filtering by Tags

Once media is tagged, you can use the Tags filter on the map or in media galleries to show only items with a specific tag. This is especially useful for large locations where you need to isolate a particular type of content — for example, showing only photos tagged as roof condition or parking lot damage.

Who Can Tag

Your ability to add or remove tags depends on your role. Organization Admins can tag any media. Organization Team members can tag their own media items.
