Sharing a Collection with People Outside Your Organization

A guide to sharing Phygii Collections with external stakeholders.

Sharing Collections Externally

One of the most practical uses of Collections in Phygii is sharing media with people who do not have a Phygii account — for example, a property owner, a contractor, or an executive who just needs to see a set of photos.

How Public Collections Work

When a collection is set to public, anyone with the shareable link can view it in their web browser without logging in. The viewer will see the collection title and the gallery of media items inside it.

How to Share a Collection

  1. Click Collections in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the collection you want to share.
  3. Make sure the collection is set to public. If it is private, ask your organization's administrator to update the setting.
  4. Copy the URL from your browser's address bar and share it with whoever needs to see the media.

What the Recipient Will See

The recipient will see a gallery view of the collection — the title and all of the media items in it. They can browse through the images and open individual items. They will not have access to any other part of Phygii and will not be able to see any other locations, projects, or data.

Important Notes

  • Anyone with the link can view a public collection, so only share links for collections that do not contain sensitive or proprietary information.
  • If you need to revoke access, ask your administrator to set the collection back to private.
