Choosing the Right Report Format and Scope
A guide to selecting report format and scope in the Phygii Report Builder.
Step 1: Choosing a Report Format
The first step in the Report Builder asks you to select a Report Format. The format controls the overall structure and presentation of the output document. Choose the format that best matches how you intend to use the report — for example, a summary view for an executive audience versus a detailed task-level view for a facilities team.
If you are unsure which format to choose, start with the default option and preview the output. You can always go back and regenerate with a different format.
Step 2: Selecting the Report Scope
The scope determines what data goes into the report. You will select:
- Assignment — The specific inspection form whose response data you want to report on. Only one assignment can be selected per report.
- Projects — The projects whose responses you want to include. You can select one project or multiple projects, which is useful when you want to compare results across locations within the same program.
You must select at least one assignment and at least one project before the remaining steps (Customize, Filter, Name) become available.
Tips for Scoping Your Report
- To report on a single location's inspection, select that location's project.
- To report across an entire program's worth of inspections, select all projects within that program.
- If you only want to see a subset of data, use the Filter step (Step 4) to narrow results after setting the broader scope here.
