Working with Project Documents

A guide to working with project documents in Phygii.

What Are Project Documents?

Project Documents are files attached to a specific project in Phygii. These can include floor plans, specification sheets, inspection checklists, contracts, reports, or any other file your team needs to reference alongside the project's media and inspection data.

Where to Find Project Documents

Open any project from the Projects list and click the Documents tab. You will see a list of all documents uploaded to that project, searchable by name.

Uploading a Document

  1. Click the Upload Document button on the Documents tab.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    • Document name
    • Document description
    • Document category — Select from your organization's configured categories.
    • Document tags — Optionally add tags for easier searching.
  3. Choose whether the document should be Available in Capture (visible in the mobile app) and Available in Info Tab (visible on the location info tab).
  4. Select the file to upload.
  5. Click Save to upload.

Supported File Types

Phygii supports a wide range of file types for project documents: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), CSV, PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx), ZIP, CAD files (.cad, .dxf, .dwf, .dwg), Revit (.rvt), LAS, XYZ, and more. The maximum upload time is 30 minutes per file.

Downloading a Document

Click any document in the list to open it. From the document detail view, you can download the file to your device or preview it if the file type supports in-browser viewing.

Document Versions

Documents support versioning. If an updated version of a file needs to be uploaded, use the New Document Version option from the document's menu. Previous versions remain accessible for reference.
