Understanding Parking Lot and Roof Assessments
A guide to understanding AI-powered parking lot and roof assessments in Phygii.
What Are Assessments?
Assessments are AI-powered analyses of your parking lots and rooftops. Using aerial imagery captured by drone, Phygii automatically identifies surface defects and calculates a condition score for each property. This gives you an objective, data-driven view of your facility's physical condition without requiring a manual walkthrough.
What Gets Analyzed
Phygii's assessment tool can analyze two types of surfaces:
- Parking Lots — The AI detects pavement distress types such as cracks, potholes, patching, and other surface damage. It then calculates a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) score based on the ASTM D6433 industry standard.
- Rooftops — Similar AI analysis applied to roof surfaces to identify areas of concern.
How to View an Assessment
- Open a location from the Locations list.
- Click the Assessments tab on the location detail page.
- Select an assessment from the list to view its results.
Assessment results are displayed both in a data table and as a color-coded overlay on the location's map, so you can see exactly where issues are located on the property.
Assessment Statuses
Each assessment goes through a processing workflow before results are available:
- Draft — The assessment has been created but processing has not started.
- Processing — The AI is currently analyzing the imagery. This may take some time.
- Review — Results are ready and under internal review.
- Published — Results are finalized and visible to your team.
- Failed — The analysis could not be completed. Contact your account administrator if you see this status.
