Using the Map Measurement Tool

A guide to measuring distances and areas on the Phygii map.

What the Measurement Tool Does

The Measurement Tool lets you measure distances and areas directly on the map. This is useful for estimating dimensions of a property feature, checking the size of a parking lot section, or getting a quick measurement without leaving Phygii.

How to Use the Measurement Tool

  1. Open a location on the map.
  2. Activate the Measure tool from the map tools menu.
  3. Click points on the map to define the path or area you want to measure.
  4. As you click, a live readout shows:
    • Total distance — The perimeter or path length in feet.
    • Total area — The enclosed area in square feet (once three or more points are placed).

Resetting the Measurement

Click the Reset chip to clear your current measurement and start over.

Tips

  • Measurements are calculated in real-world coordinates, so they reflect actual distances and areas on the ground.
  • For the most accurate results, zoom in close to the area you are measuring before placing your points.
  • The measurement tool does not save measurements as permanent records — it is an interactive tool for quick reference. If you need to preserve a measurement, take a screenshot or note the values.
