Bulk Media Operations — Edit, Flag, Download, and More
A guide to bulk media operations in Phygii.
When to Use Bulk Operations
When you need to work with many images at once — downloading a batch, flagging several items for review, or editing metadata across multiple photos — Phygii's bulk selection tools save you from doing it one by one.
Activating Select Mode
- Open a location on the map.
- Activate the Select tool from the map tools menu.
- A floating toolbar appears at the top of the map with your selection count and controls.
Selecting Images
- Click a media marker to select it.
- Shift+Click to add more items to your selection.
- Ctrl+Click (or Cmd+Click on Mac) to toggle an individual item.
- Click Select All Visible in the toolbar to select every visible media item at once.
- Click Deselect All to clear your selection.
The toolbar also lets you switch between Pan mode (move the map around) and Direct Select mode (click to select) using toggle buttons or keyboard shortcuts.
Available Bulk Actions
Once you have items selected, a bulk actions bar appears with these options:
- Edit — Open a dialog to update metadata (photo type, area, level, category, tags) across all selected images at once.
- Flag / Unflag — Flag all selected items, or unflag them if they are already flagged.
- Download — Download all selected images. There is a selection limit; if exceeded, you will be prompted to reduce your selection.
- Delete — Remove all selected images (if you have delete permission).
- Create Collection — Create a new Collection from the selected images.
Permissions
Some bulk actions (Edit, Flag) are only available to certain roles. If an action does not appear in the toolbar, your role may not have permission for it.
